What's New in 2.2?

DocuShare 2.2 offers great new features that further extend DocuShare's knowledge sharing capabilities, including the Subscription and Query Collection functions, and the ability to retrieve objects after they've been deleted.

• Subscription: Subscribe to content and events of interest and DocuShare will automatically notify you via email when changes occur.
  
  
• Saved Queries: Saved Queries allow users to store the query used in a search and reuse it again at a later time. This is especially helpful when you have developed a complex query that will be reused multiple times, such as a description of an important subject area that you want to track. By saving the query, you can access the desired information directly, without having to reenter the search information each time.
  
  
• Delete Recovery: Deleted information is stored in an electronic trash can, allowing data-recovery in the event of accidental deletion. Simply contact the system administrator and the information can be restored back to its original location in the DocuShare repository.
  
  
• Thumbnails: A thumbnail is a miniature view of an image that DocuShare 2.2 users can display in an image collection. Thumbnail views of scanned documents or graphics make finding the exact document you need fast and easy.
  
  
• PaperPort Link: Drag and drop scanned files into DocuShare from the latest version of PaperPort
  
  
• Windows 2000 Support: Use DocuShare with the latest version of the Microsoft Windows operating system
  
  
• DocuShare Software Developer's Kit (SDK): Develop custom applications based on DocuShare with the included DocuShare Client Libraries
